It’s like a glazed donut outside.

Except it’s probably not tasty (due to the salt) and instead of cream filling, you get a boatload of snow.

Yep, an ice storm swept through St. Louis last night and today, canceling flights, closing schools and businesses and keeping all of the Lou cooped up and (hopefully) cozy at home. Knowing how much damage ice has done to the St. Louis area in the past, I’m glad to say we have not had any falling tree limbs and still have heat, power and all of the amenities. And while the hubs and I were very much cozy, it was due probably due to the fact that our work laptops were keeping us warm for 8 hours of the day. Long gone are the days when snow days meant staying in and watching TV or going out to sled. There’s work to be done, people!

Anyway, I’m definitely looking forward to sunnier days when my patio furniture doesn’t look like it’s wearing fringe. The Bear, on the other hand, couldn’t be happier.

Snow. Ice. Sleet. Blizzard. Doesn't matter what you call it. It (like anything else) means playtime for The Bear.

I love how the Bear goes from zero to 60 (degrees) without changing coats or footwear!
