Mexico’s 3 A’s: Alcohol, Adults-Only, All-Inclusive

After the crazy work week I miraculously endured this past week, you would undoubtedly have Mexico’s 3 A’s on your mind too. Luckily for me, a Mexico vacation is within reach! We’re currently planning a vacation with seven of our friends to Mexico’s Riviera Maya this spring. Five days of sun, sand, and of course, the 3 A’s. While the vacation isn’t quite booked just yet, we’ve narrowed down our resort choices to two — Valentin Imperial Maya and El Dorado Royale. I’ve heard great things about both of them, seen plenty of photos on TripAdvisor and generally don’t need much more convincing to know that a vacation like this will be well-deserved and all-around awesome.

The all-inclusive experience isn’t foreign to us. It really is the ultimate way to vacation. Our very first all-inclusive experience took place two years ago on our honeymoon to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The Royal at Playa del Carmen was nothing short of fantastic, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go there again. Here are just a few pictures to give you a peek at the great time that was had.

Our drinks of choice throughout the honeymoon -- Blue Hawaiian and Sol

Stunning beach at the Tulum Mayan Ruins. Doesn't it make you want to just quit your job and build a hut here?

Trekking through the Mayan ruins at Tulum. That glow on my face is not bronzing powder. It's sweat.

The shopping district, 5th Avenue, was only minutes away from the resort by foot. We stumbled upon a lot of tequila there.

Ahhh, the beach.

It was the first vacation we took together on our own. A lot of memories made. (And a little sunburn too.)

It’s only a matter of time until Mexico and its 3 A’s are mine. Let the countdown begin!
